New Projects

For a project to be considered for funding, it must:
  • Involve direct interaction between Northrop Grumman and USC researchers.  For example, such interactions could include Northrop Grumman researchers participating directly in the research activities at USC or USC researchers traveling to Northrop Grumman to perform measurements.
  • Align with the Institute and the Northrop Grumman long range strategic research vision
Therefore, proposers are strongly encouraged to contact one of the Co-Directors before submitting to discuss their possible project concept.
In the evaluation of the project proposals, every effort will be made to support a wide range of topics (materials, devices, experimental and theoretical efforts).  The support given will be in line with the requirements of the project.
Depending on the availability of funds, solicitations for proposals will occur twice a year.
